** Funny Story - we like funny stories / coincidences !
After the Eclipse in 2023 we were sitting at Town Beach in Exmouth discussing how amazing the Kimberleys are going to be in 2028 but also just how much more difficult & logistically challenging it will be too. The governmental organisation at Exmouth was world class but the vast path of totality in 2028 in combination with the harsh terrain of the Kimberleys really does present a huge organisational challenge.
So having thanked a number of people and bodies in Exmouth (especially for our granted access to Charles Knife Canyon) we decided to write a small message of congratulations, thanks and advice to the Minister of Tourism then Mr Roger Cook.
Literally only minutes later who walks straight past us - the Minister for Tourism Mr Roger Cook! The Minister to his absolute credit granted us some of his time and we explained who we were and what we do and most most importantly we stressed our concerns and importance of extensive early planning for the Kimberleys for the 2028 Eclipse. We shared a laugh and chat and all mutually agreed the Kimberleys would be a far bigger undertaking then Exmouth. We gifted the Minister one of our famous Eclipse caps and thanked him for his time.
