As of early June 2026 ... the id8.life events team is spread to all corners of the world including the World Cup Football in North America (go Socceroos & Croatia !! ... and ok ok Spain too Moha!) ... Formula 1 and more (see video hello Tina from id8.life from soccer World Cup) Whilst the team is spread around the world atm rest assured there is lots happening in the background for 2028!
Over a number of years we have been ideating & curating a number of exiting events for the 2028 Eclipse. As we stress to all governing bodies and private operators and ESPECIALLY for the Kimberleys we have to create a widely spread decentralised & exciting and event filled shoulder either side of the actual eclipse.
Not only of course do visitors want to be a part of exciting well planned events but crucially it helps both ingress and egress of many 1000s & 1000s of visitors. We believe this could be well over 30,000 which is way more then Exmouth had! Having lived and organised many events in the Kimberleys it would be an absolute nightmare for this region to receive so many visitors all at once just for the eclipse! There is only ONE sealed road in and out of the line of totality!
Thus the vital need to create events and shoulders and also spread the pax load across the entire region where safe, practical and possible. Its great having a fantastic town like Kununnara nearby but planners please please note .. its quite probable that Kununarra might be a visitorial 'ghost town' come the day of the event as overwhelmingly most visitors will seek the path of totality for the eclipse itself.
To all planners & governing bodies as well please note we of course will be more then happy to liaise with and on all of our events and plans but even more importantly please know that all of our events will be planned and designed to be as fully self sufficient and reliant as possible. We have been organising events in the region since the iconic & famous 'Bourke to Broome Bash' way way back in 1989 ! Our events will also be decentralised and dispersed as again it is absolutely crucial to spread the load of 30k plus pax across the region. From the Premier of WA down we have reached out and contacted all concerned so you can of course reach out to us at anytime.

The Kimberley Eclipse 2028 represents the absolute dream ideal scenario for yachts and powered boats from all across Australia to gather & journey to the Kimberleys for this incredible stunning solar Eclipse. The Kimberley coastline is stunning enough on its own to visit let alone the once in a million year 5 minute cosmological extravaganza of a total solar Eclipse! This truly is that once in a lifetime nautical event and adventure we have all dreamed about - all conducted as well organised 'Sail' and 'Powered' Eclipse Flotillas leaving at designated times and departure points from all around Australia.
As with all events safety is paramount so local Kimberley expertise will be on hand both during the planning of this Flotilla and during the event itself. At this time of the year its the perfect time to get to and see the Kimberley coastline. The plan is to conduct this Flotilla with Yacht Clubs from all around Australia and engage with the West Australian Maritime Authorities so as to create this nautical extravaganza. Imagine the sight and on water festivities of potentially 1000s of vessels from all around Australia. Tourism WA and Tourism Australia lets help make this happen ... just imagine the imagery of this going all around the world ... we would get millions of eyeballs, views and clicks all free of charger on social media platforms let alone main stream media coverag
Further to this - we are shortly about to approach mega world famous lifestyle yachting 'youtubers' who have millions of followers as no doubt they will see the incredible content & visual spectacular that this flotilla and the Eclipse will present. Millions and millions across the world would see the Kimberleys across every SM platform there is. Again to all concerned lets help make this happen for many reasons including understanding just how much such a flotilla would help ease the logistical burden & load on mainland Kimberleys ...as these are of course all fully self sufficient floating homes!

Paying homage to the global ecological & music movement from across the world. A vibrant festival in the stunning Kimberleys during the 2028 eclipse where nature, community & the Dreamtime can come together in a unique harmonious once in a lifetime celebration. This event would showcase eco self-sufficient practices with a community famous for its core principles of respecting one another and absolute respect for the planet we live on. Imagine the synergy with traditional owners, indigenous arts, music & culture past and present we could create here with visitors from across the world who would love & cherish this. This would be a truly unforgettable experience, blending the magic of the eclipse. indigenous culture and a commitment to peace, harmony & protecting our planet.
Much collaboration & consultation still to take place here but we hope that all vested parties involved can ultimately all come together & see the incredible benefits this event could bring ... remembering of course how famous this community is for self sufficiency - bringing everything needed & leaving nothing behind. All happy to sleep in tents, campers, vans etc. This is a huge logistical bonus for Kimberley Eclipse planning & logistics ... having so many experienced self sufficient visitors located in a safe well planned very happy site ... all who will crucially want to come early too. WA and Australia has fantastic 'burn' communities to help make this happen. (the 'Burn' in
this case will be symbolic btw & the incredible eclipse will replace the usual 'burn')
The worlds most famous DJs will want to come to this. The worlds biggest influencers will come to this. And whilst the 'Burning Community' is not about show and tell everyone will want to make this happen because staging a 'Sun Burn 2028' during a cosmologically incredible 309 second total solar eclipse is simply the absolute ultimate.
And if this does take place ... crucially there is so much more that could be done with this annually or bi annually across rotating towns in the Kimberleys in off shoulder periods for an incredible ever lasting enduring & endless tourism and socio economic
& employment boom. (There is much we could add here)
Remember this & all eclipse events should be
not only about the economic benefits of the
eclipse itself but absolutely the future as well !
